This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

• Login credentials through third-party sign-in providers such as Apple or Google

Family Tree Information

To provide our services, you may choose to add information about yourself and your family members, including:

• Names
• Dates of birth
• Family relationships
• Photos and other content you upload

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to share any information you provide about other individuals.

Face and Photo Data (AI Features)

The App offers optional AI-powered features that require you to upload a photo containing a face:

• Family Resemblance — comparing two portrait photos to estimate how much two people may resemble each other
• Family Collage — combining up to six portrait photos into one generated image
• Young and Old — generating an age-progressed version of a portrait
• Royal Blood — generating a stylized portrait based on a submitted photo
• Ethnicity / Ancestry Estimate — analyzing one face photo to estimate an approximate ethnic/ancestry breakdown as part of your heritage report

These photos are used solely to generate the requested result. We do not create, extract, or store facial recognition templates, biometric identifiers, or face-matching vectors from your photos. See "How We Use Your Information" and "Retention of Face and Photo Data" below for details on processing, sharing, and retention.

Usage Information

We may automatically collect certain information when you use the App, including:

• Device type
• Operating system
• App version
• IP address
• General usage information

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide family tree and genealogy features
• Store and display family information you choose to add
• Generate AI-powered results from photos you voluntarily submit (resemblance comparison, family collage, age progression, portrait stylization, and ethnicity/ancestry estimate)
• Improve and maintain the App
• Respond to support requests
• Ensure security and prevent misuse of the App
• Comply with legal obligations

Retention of Face and Photo Data

Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of the App may require a paid subscription. Payments are processed through the Apple App Store and/or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your payment card information. Subscription management, billing, and refunds are handled according to the policies of the relevant app marketplace.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following situations:

• With service providers who help us operate the App, including:
  • Google, via the Gemini API, to generate results for the Family Resemblance, Family Collage, Young and Old, and Royal Blood features. Photos submitted for these features are transmitted to Google solely to produce the requested output and are not retained by us beyond the periods described above.
  • Our internal ancestry-analysis service, to generate the Ethnicity / Ancestry Estimate from a submitted face photo.
• When required by law
• To protect our rights, users, or the security of the App
• In connection with a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition

Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. Your information, including photos submitted for AI features, is stored on our own servers; we do not use a third-party cloud storage provider to host this content. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Users

The App is available worldwide. Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to such transfers where permitted by applicable law.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access your personal information
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your personal information, including any face or photo data
• Restrict or object to certain processing activities
• Withdraw consent where applicable
• Request a copy of your data

Account Deletion

You may also delete your account directly within the App. When your account is deleted, we permanently delete your account data and associated media, including any photo submitted for the Ethnicity / Ancestry Estimate feature. We will process deletion requests in accordance with applicable laws and our legitimate business obligations.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove such information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App or on our website, and the updated version will become effective upon publication.
